Heather Olinde calls herself a small town girl from South Louisiana, but she has big ideas when it comes to home decorating, DIY projects, and refurbishing old furniture! Heather loves being a wife and a mom to her three active boys, her faith in Jesus, coffee, and finding fun items for her online shop, The Vintage Hive. Her store is a curated collection of new and vintage finds in “a combination of primitive farmhouse style and cozy cottage”. She has a penchant for Hobby Lobby and Target treasures, but also loves finding classic, aged gems, especially if the paint is chipped. Heather fancies mostly white walls and furniture to produce a bright and airy feel, and artfully adds wood accents, greenery from plants, and a sprinkling of colorful accents to complete a charming cottage ambiance.
For last season’s holiday decor, Heather centered her Christmas theme around our elegant and lush Holiday Romance wreath! The fresh wreath hand-made with noble fir and white pine created a delightful focal point for the living room around which to base her Christmas decorations. She draped a gorgeous garland on her mantle made from fresh cedar and eucalyptus, complete with ball ornaments and magical white twinkle lights. And she constructed the sweet trees on her mantel from bottle brush trees hot glued into milk glass vases. Truly amazing! We love how Heather used light pink accents to tie in with the champagne-colored ribbon and ball-ornaments on the wreath! This handmade Christmas Wreath is unique and adds a simple yet sophisticated style for the holidays. You, too, can add beautiful holiday decor touches like Heather did by incorporating a fresh wreath, cedar garland, and string lights< to your home during the holidays.
