Mary McCachern

After spending twenty years in retail, Mary McCachern is now soaking up the blissfully slower pace of North Carolina lake life with her husband and two sweet dogs, Chloe and Gracie. When she’s not reading or cruising the lake with her pups, Mary enjoys all things flowers and gardening, DIY projects, baking, and transforming her domestic spaces and kitchen creations into something truly breathtaking.

Mary’s love for holidays and celebrations means that Christmas is something special at her house. Last season she created a “Christmas on the Porch” theme and centered her decor around our adorable Christmas Vintage Truck centerpiece made with fresh noble fir, cedar, and pine. The charming metal pickup truck loaded with fragrant evergreens, berries, and pine cones met visitors with a country welcome and tempted them to linger and enjoy the merry setting. Along with the evergreen holiday centerpiece, Mary decked her porch with a fresh wreath, decorative pillows and blanket, metal tree buckets, and the cutest pair of greenery-stuffed Tartan plaid rainboots. If we could have stepped into these photos and paid a visit to Mary on her beautiful porch, we would have!

Mary continued this jolly holiday theme inside her home by using the Christmas Vintage Truck arrangement as the inspiration for her dining room table decor. Red truck salad plates atop tartan metal chargers matched the truck centerpiece perfectly, and she used greenery from her yard to create a gorgeous live runner down the center of the table. A festive plaid tablecloth and Christmas tree farm napkins completed the perfect vintage country charm look. Lynch Creek Farm offers a variety of handmade evergreen products that are perfectly suited for vintage farmhouse holiday decor styles, such as our popular Farmhouse Holiday wreath that is accented with rustic red metal stars.

We hope Mary invites us for Christmas dinner next year and can’t wait to see more from her beautiful holiday celebrations! Take a look at Mary’s fun-filled website https://homeiswheretheboatis.net/ and get ready to be inspired!
