How do I care for my evergreen wreath?
We recommend that you hang your fresh evergreen wreath or swag outside because fresh air extends the life of the natural product. Climate and direct sunlight drastically affect how long your evergreens will last. Hanging your wreath or swag in a cool location with a good amount of shade will help it live longer. In a cool climate out of direct sunlight, our wreaths and swags can last 6 weeks or more when spritzed regularly. Some customers really want their wreath or swag inside their home, and that is understandable. When placed indoors, they will last about 3 weeks with proper care. Evergreen wreaths and swags absorb moisture through their cut ends. To increase the health and lifespan of your wreath or swag, spritz the back with water every 2-3 days. Evergreens will drink the water, and you will find your wreath or swag to be more fragrant and last longer. All greenery should be kept away from heat sources that may dry them out such as direct sunlight, heat vents, and open flames. Always keep evergreens away from ignition sources.
How long will my evergreen wreath last?
Climate and proper care make the biggest difference in the longevity of our evergreen products. We always suggest you place your evergreen product outside when possible to increase its longevity. In colder climates or northern states, our evergreen decorations can last about 6-8 weeks outdoors. So, wreaths delivered around December 1st should last through Christmas with proper care. Many of our customers in colder climates have let us know that their wreaths have lasted through March! In dry climates or southern states, our evergreen decorations can last about 4-6 weeks outdoors. So, wreaths delivered around December 1st should also last through Christmas with proper care. Even in warmer climates, we have seen them last through the middle of January.
What are your evergreen wreath sizes?
The diameter of our standard Christmas wreath measures approximately 26 inches. It is the perfect size for a standard exterior or interior door. Our 26" wreaths have a total finished weight of about 7 to 8 pounds. We also sell 32" wreaths for areas that can show-off a larger wreath that really makes a statement, and we offer a smaller 22" wreath (the Olympic Mountain Berry wreath) as well as an 18" Window Wreath that is perfectly sized for windows. Our smaller wreaths look festive and stunning hung on multiple windows of a home. They are also perfect for smaller spaces and apartments.
Our Christmas wreaths are lush and full with a three-dimensional quality that makes them attractive from all angles. Standard wreaths made with noble fir are about 5” to 6” thick. They are much thicker and fuller than other Christmas wreaths you’ll see on the market, creating a truly stunning and eye-catching product.
How should I hang my new evergreen wreath?
You can hang your fresh evergreen wreath on most doors, fences, even gates using an over the door wreath hanger. We offer a wide selection of high-quality over the door hangers on our website. Wreaths can also be hung on a nail or screw from the metal frame on the back of the wreath. A word of advice if using an over the door hanger: wrap the bottom part of the hanger (that will be behind the wreath when hung) with plastic wrap to prevent the possibility of the hanger scratching your door.
What do your evergreen wreath boxes look like and how big are they?
Our standard 26” evergreen door wreath as well as our smaller evergreen wreaths are shipped in festive red gift boxes with the following dimensions: 20" x 20" x 6".
Our 32” wreaths are shipped in red boxes that are 26" x 26" x 6".
These holiday boxes are a joy to receive! Care instructions for these real wreaths are printed directly on the inside flap of the box.
Do your evergreen wreaths really look like they do on the website?
We are sometimes asked if our wreaths look as great in person as they do on the website. Actually, your evergreen wreath will look better than the website! Weighing 7 to 8 lbs. each, our holiday wreaths are even fuller and more beautiful in person. All of our wreaths are handmade here at the Farm. So, they are fresh and long-lasting. Our products are also inspected twice for integrity and design qualities before being shipped. We take great pride in the quality and design of our products.
